Colonel sanders
Harlan sanders was born on September 9, 1890, on a farm near Henry ville, indiana. In order to make a living, my mother had to take many jobs to do outside. During the day, his mother was not at home, koyama deshi had to cook by himself, a year later, he even learned to do 20 dishes, became famous cooking expert.
He came to work on a farm in greenwood, and although he worked hard, he was able to feed and clothe himself. Since then he has had a myriad of jobs, almost every one of them, working as a plasters, a fireman, selling insurance, a spell in the army, and then a correspondence law degree that allowed him to serve as a sheriff in little rock, Kansas, for a while. When he was 40 years old, sanders came to Kentucky and opened a corbyn gas station. Seeing the hungry faces of the trudging customers, sanders had an idea.
With more customers than the gas stations could handle, sandoz opened a restaurant across the street, specializing in his specialty, Fried chicken, and invested in a 142-seat expansion. As he worked, he studied the special ingredients (11 herbs and spices) that make Fried chicken so moist and flavorful that the skin forms a thin, almost unbaked shell. The recipe is still in use today, but the number of ingredients has grown to 40. This is KFC's most important secret weapon, just like the Coca-Cola formula.
He specially went to Cornell university in New York to study hotel management, which enabled him to solve the hotel management problems in the future, but there are still problems. That's when he was inspired by a random demonstration of a pressure cooker that would dramatically reduce cooking time without burning the food, which is perfect for his Fried chicken. It took only 15 minutes to fry a chicken.
But the road next to the sandoz restaurant was cleared by a new highway, and he had to sell assets to pay his debts. He remembered selling Fried chicken to a restaurant owner in Utah. The white-haired colonel, dressed in a white suit and a black bow and dressed like a southern gentleman, stopped at the door of every restaurant, from Kentucky to Ohio, selling chicken recipes and asking the owner and clerk to show them the Fried chicken. In 1952, the first authorized KFC restaurant in Salt Lake City was established, which was the beginning of the catering franchise in the world.
"My smile is the best trademark," sanders often jokes. Sanders, who had devoted his life to promoting KFC's Fried chicken, made a quarter-million mile trip each year shortly before his death at the age of 90. His age and wealth did not affect his enthusiasm for his work, but he continued to run his business assiduously. When asked why he worked so hard, sanders replied, "people rust more from idleness than from exhaustion. If I had rusted from idleness, I would have gone to hell." Colonel sanders died of leukemia in 1980 at the age of 90. He changed the world of eating with a chicken.

然而山德士餐厅所在地旁的道路被新建的高速公路所通过，他不得不变卖资产以偿还债务。他想起曾经把炸鸡做法卖给犹他州的一个饭店老板。身穿白色西装，打着黑色蝴蝶结，一身南方绅士打扮的白发上校停在每一家饭店的门口，从肯塔基州到俄亥俄州，兜售炸鸡秘方，要求给老板和店员表演炸鸡。1952年，盐湖城第一家被授权经营的肯德基餐厅建立了，这便是世界上餐饮加盟特许经营的开始。
山德士经常开玩笑说：“我的微笑就是最好的商标。”山德士可以说为肯德基付出了毕生的心血和努力，就在他以90岁高龄辞世前不久，每年还要做长达25万英里的旅行，四处推销肯德基炸鸡。他的年龄及财富并没有影响到他对工作的热诚，他仍然孜孜不倦地经营他的事业。当人们问他为什么还那样勤奋地工作时，山德士回答说：“人们因闲散而生锈者比精疲力竭者多，如果我因闲散而生锈过，我会下地狱。”1980年，因为白血病，山德士上校不幸逝世，享年90岁。他用一只鸡，改变了人们的饮食世界。
