Honshu Island

State (ほ ん し ゅ う), also known as honshu island, is Japan's largest island, is located in the middle of the Japanese archipelago, is the seventh largest island in the world. To the north, it faces Hokkaido island across the tsuga strait; to the south, it faces shikoku island across the seto inland sea; and to the southwest, it faces kyushu island across the momen strait and the fenghou waterway.

Honshu island is a continental island, the island off today there are still active volcanoes, frequent earthquakes.
